This Handguard has 4 machined in rail sections to give the user a traditional QUAD RAIL. Mount your optics, flashlights and lasers and forearm grip to the Picatinny rails.
The Midwest Industries AK-47 SS-Series handguard is designed to fit most milled and stamped variants of the of the AK family. The handguard attaches around the barrel to provide a solid mounting platform. The upper portion of the handguard is attached to the lower handguard, instead of the gas tube to provide a solid platform to mount optics. The lower portion of the handguard extends to the handguard retainer and matches the length of the factory handguard. This handguard is very light at 10 ounces. Installation tools and instructions are provided.
Installation on requires removal of the cleaning rod and sling loop on the factory handguard retaining bracket.
No weight gain from factory Saiga rifles or most AKs.
