I had tons of FTF and FTE problems with my SDS Lynx. I got this plus the reliability kit and it works great! The guide rod is much smoother than the stock telescoping rod. I think what helped the most was the spring though.
After installing this and the reliability kit I have no problems shooting 1200fps 00buck . Lower than that and it can still fail but even the expensive semi autos don't like them much.
The only 2 real "problems" or "issues" I have with the guiderod kit are as follows.
1. Using the solid plastic guide for the rod means, in my case, the performance spring, dust cover, plastic guide itself, and the recoil spring are no longer held in place together. All 4 things can fly off if you are not careful during disassembly.
2. For my SDS Lynx the Rear Recoil Spring Guide that came with this purchase did not fully seat the top cover. The whole top cover would bounce up and then slam back down each shot. Likely this is due to China quality control of the Lynx.
